Tesla inventory cars in Sweden 2026
A new inventory car — a “lagerbil” — gives you the same buyer benefit as a car you configure yourself. But you have less time, because on an inventory car it is the reservation that counts, not the order.
Open the referral link before you reserve. Afterwards it cannot be added, and reserving an inventory car commits you in a way configuring one does not.

A new inventory car earns the buyer benefit

You get the same buyer benefit no matter who refers you. I receive a referral reward when you take delivery.
An inventory car is one that has already been built and is sitting in Tesla’s Swedish stock. You do not choose the specification — you get the one the car already has — and delivery is normally much faster.
Check before you reserve
- That the top of the page reads »Rekommendation har applicerats«
- That it is a new car, not certified pre-owned — used cars do not earn the benefit
- The odometer; some inventory cars are demo or showroom cars
- The price against the same car in the configurator — every inventory car is priced on its own, and the difference is per car rather than a general discount
- That the specification is one you want; it cannot be changed
- The delivery time
What I have not been able to confirm
Whether demo and showroom cars count as new for the referral. Tesla’s bonus terms count them as eligible and certified pre-owned cars as not eligible, but that is a different campaign. I am not going to guess.
What it costs
An inventory car costs what the listing says. What it costs you depends on how you pay for it and how much you drive.
Reserve
The referral has to be on the order before you reserve.
What applies after you reserve
- The referral cannot be added afterwards
- The specification of an inventory car cannot be changed
- The benefit is tied to your Tesla account
- It cannot be moved to another car, person or order
