How it works

There is no discount code and no promo code to type in — Tesla’s Swedish checkout has no such field. The referral travels with the link, which is why the order has to start there.

  1. Open the link

    The referral travels with you as you click through. Start here, not on tesla.com.

  2. Configure the car

    Model Y, Model 3 or an inventory car. Change your mind as often as you like — the referral stays on.

  3. Order

    The top of the page should read »Rekommendation har applicerats«. If it does not — start again from the link.

Tesla’s own box, not my wording. It confirms the benefit, that current and former owners receive a loyalty benefit instead, that the benefit is tied to your Tesla account and cannot be transferred, and that used cars, company orders and commercial use are not covered. The box is what Tesla shows when the link is opened — while you are configuring, the top of the page reads »Rekommendation har applicerats« instead, and that is the line step 3 is about.

The terms do not mention it. I have no confirmed case either way.

An inventory car means a shorter wait and sometimes a lower price. The same rule applies — the link first, the reservation after.

Which model?

Model S and Model X carry no buyer benefit

The referral programme covers Model Y and Model 3. It makes no difference whether the referral is on the order — the benefit does not apply to these models.

Then it is registered

The referral is on your order. There is nothing more to do. The benefit is tied to your Tesla account when you take delivery.

Then it cannot be added

Tesla: the referral cannot be added after the order has been placed. There is no way to add it afterwards, and I am not going to claim otherwise.

If you cancel and place a new order, the new order’s terms and delivery time apply. That is a decision about the car, not about the benefit, and it is yours.

What is already settled

The referral goes on before the order, never after.

The benefit is free Supercharging, not money off the car.

The benefit is tied to your Tesla account and cannot be moved to another car, person or order.

My reward shows as »väntande« — pending — until you take delivery. Tesla does not publish how large it is, so I state no figure.

Tesla can change or end the campaign at any time. Figures without a source do not appear on this site.
